Local Charity Wins Big with AM Technical Solutions
Austin, Texas (August 14, 2010) Driving his stock car sponsored by AM Technical Solutions, fourteen year old Austin Self and his crew have partnered with Hope & Love 4 Kids a Texas-based charity that helps disadvantaged children. Kyle, Texas (June 20, 2010) – Fourteen year-old Texas Super Racing Series rookie sensation Austin Self started on the pole for the TSRS LM feature at Thunderhill Raceway (Kyle, Texas) Saturday night and led all 35 laps to claim his first checkered flag in a full-bodied stock car. A multi-time champion in national Karting competition, Self’s team decided earlier this year to tackle the premier Late Model series in Texas without the young man ever having turned a lap in a stock car, let alone go up against some of the most experienced and successful teams in Texas and the Southwest.

Driving the FEP Chevy sponsored by AM Technical Solutions, fourteen year old rookie driver, Austin Self, started dead last and drove to an amazing third place finish in the Texas Super Racing Series (TSRS) Late Model race on Saturday, May 22. To pull this off, he had to power his way past some of the best, and most experienced adult drivers in Texas stock car racing. With a total of only three stock car races under his belt, Austin has finished in third-place twice and in fourth-place once. An extraordinary career-beginning to say the least!

The AM Technical Solutions FEP late model Chevrolet and its driver, Austin Wayne Self, made their debut at the Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle, Texas last Saturday night. The 14 year old National Champion Kart Racer led for half the race, set the fast lap time, and finished third behind veteran stock car drivers 2-3 times his age with decades more experience; a fantastic debut.

Stephen Poindexter promoted to Vice President of Operations
Stephen Poindexter was recently promoted to the position of Vice President of Operations for. He oversees all operational aspects of the firm's business units and is responsible for ensuring AM Technical Solutions' operational excellence. Prior to that, Stephen held the position of Director of Operations. Stephen joined the firm in 2001. Prior to his current role he held positions in the US as Strategic Accounts Manager and European Senior Project Manager. He also held the position of European Strategic Account Manager and oversaw the successful start up of AM's business there.
