Why doesn’t AM Technical Solutions do design?

Actually AM Technical Solutions does do design/build for specialty system installations and process equipment install projects. We do not provide full design and engineering services for Greenfield and basebuild projects.

Doesn’t using a Project & Construction Management firm just add overhead that I don’t have with a GC?

No. In fact, using a P&CM can actually reduce your overhead while giving you greater control and visibility into your project. As your P&CM, AM Technical Solutions is a direct bridge between your team and the subcontractors. But since we make no profit from the work performed by the subs, we are free to aggressively eliminate needless change orders and other costs.

What is the difference between Construction Management and General Contractor and/or Design-Builder type project delivery?

We actually function as experts who are seamlessly integrated into your own team. We can solicit, qualify, administer, and coordinate all contractors just as a GC does but without concealment or contract markups. Using a PM&CM is the closest thing to being your own GC. You control the project while we bring the expertise and energy to manage the subs, execute the plan, and complete the project on time, to specification, and within budget.
